Player Scores: R6

Here we are with Round 6’s player scores!

It’s an absolute yellow-and-red-wash this week, as the Lightning and Swifts completely dominate our top 5. Courtney Bruce makes her second appearance in the top 5 this season, with 8 deflections, 5 rebounds and an intercept in their dominant win over the Vixens.

Teigan O’Shannassy is breathing down Bruce’s neck in second place, with her 8 deflections, 4 intercepts and 1 rebound in her eye-catching performance against the Giants.

Her teammate Helen Housby slots into 3rd this week, with 33 feeds, 27 goal assists and 5 super shots.

Back to yellow we go, with Tara Hinchliffe landing 4th spot, only half a point behind Helen. Tara had 6 deflections, 2 intercepts and a rebound.

Finally, Leesa Mi Mi makes her first appearance in our top 5 this season. She chalked up 38 feeds, 24 goal assists, an intercept and 5 pickups. You know you’ve had a good game when you clock up more feeds than Liz Watson!

Some interesting player score stats for Round 6:

• The Mavs were the most accurate shooters this week, with Shimona shooting 61 goals at 100% accuracy and Sasha only missing 3 goals

• Hannah Mundy was the highest scorer in a lacklustre outing from the Vixens, with 177.5 points, including 25 feeds, 2 intercepts and 2 deflections

• The Lightning absolutely ran rampant according to the stats, with 4 players scoring over 200 points, without Cara and only 5 minutes from Ervin! Liz scored 208.5 points to miss out on the top 5 by 2 points

• Despite playing a full game, Erin O’Brien had a really tough day in the office against Nweke this week, scoring only 23 points. She had 1 deflection, 0 intercepts, and gave away 19 penalties

• ATN is so consistent this year, again the top scorer for the Fever this week with 193 points. She is now nearly 50 points ahead of 2nd place (Housby) in the season points scoreboard

• Romelda had some sloppy hands this week, with 6 general play turnovers, 1 bad pass and 1 intercept thrown

• Grace Nweke was top goal scorer for Round 6, with 64/67 goals, and she also had 6 goals assists and 4 rebounds to finish with 195.5 points

I’ve developed a Google Sheets document that lists each player and their scores by round. This will be updated after each round.

The first tab is the Overall Leaderboard, and will be sorted by total points. The second tab will be sorted by the most recent round (i.e. whoever scored the most points in the most recent round will be at the top).
