Player Scores: R13

Here we are with Round 13’s player scores!

Latanya Wilson absolutely smashed her own Fantasy Points record this week with a massive 350 points. She had a record-equalling 9 intercepts, 12 gains, 9 deflections and 2 rebounds in her player of the match performance against the Mavs.

After 2 weeks on the sidelines, Cara came back with a bang, with 48 goals, 7 feeds and 10 rebounds for her 225 points (a full 125 points behind Latty!).

Fellow shooter Kiera had another strong game, with 18 goals, 2 Super Shots, 22 feeds and her team-high 22 CPRs for her 216.5 points.

Alice Teague-Neeld stays put in 4th spot, with a round-high 47 feeds, 28 goal assists, 22 CPRs and 2 pickups.

Not far behind, the other Thunderbird defender Matilda Garrett with 3 gains, 1 intercept (Latanya let her have 1 haha), 9 deflections and 2 pickups.

Some interesting player score stats for Round 13:

  • The Fever’s Fantasy Points showed their dominance across the court this week, with Jhaniele, ATN and Sunday each scoring over 200 points, and Fran and Zoe with over 100 each.

  • The Firebirds amassed a huge 89 penalties, the highest of the round and a good 28 ahead of the next highest in the Fever.

  • Despite hitting 5 Super Shots, Matisse Letherbarrow (and all the Giants shooters) struggled this week. She only played 20 minutes and grabbed 3 rebounds, but also lost nearly half of her points with an obstruction, 2 turnovers, 2 bad hands and 6 missed goals.

  • Leesa Mi Mi had a solid game with 34 feeds, 17 goal assists, 32 CPRs, a gain and a deflection for her 200 points.

  • Lauren Parkinson (nee Moore) made her long-awaited return to the SSN court returning from her ACL injury and had a promising 16 minutes on court with 1 gain, 1 rebound, 2 CPRs and a pickup for 25 points.

  • One of 2 debutants this round (the other being Caitlyn Brown for the Fever), Frederika Schneideman hit the court for the Swifts, and had the tough task of marking Leesa Mi Mi but gained some invaluable experience.

  • The Thunderbirds were absolutely on fire this week, with 6 of their 9 players who took the court scoring over 100 points, and another 2 scoring in the 90s. They scored 1324 points - more than 200 ahead of next-placed the Fever.

  • For another week, the Vixens did not change their starting 7, playing the same team all game. They survived a scare against the Firebirds, but again not one of their bench players got any court time. Could this affect them come finals time if something happens to one of their starting 7? Having said that, Zara Walters had a good game in her 3rd full game in a row, but come finals time they won’t have the luxury of time to get their eye in.

I’ve developed a Google Sheets document that lists each player and their scores by round. This will be updated after each round.

The first tab is the Overall Leaderboard, and will be sorted by total points. The second tab will be sorted by the most recent round (i.e. whoever scored the most points in the most recent round will be at the top).
