How to calculate if you can afford a trade:

Review the revised price of your players for Trade Period 1 here. This is the value of your player/s to be traded out.

Check your leftover salary cap from your initial team (‘money in the bank’) here.

Your new player/s must stay within the value of the player/s you are trading out, PLUS any leftover salary cap you have.

E.g. Player OUT value $50,000, leftover salary cap $10,000 = $60,000 available for your player IN
